Neo-Salafism and Islam's Universality

Some people do believe that doing so represents an important step in the name of universality. But of course this is not possible. If you don't use the logic by which the doctrines determined by the Qur'an and Sunna can be interpreted, and if you fail to see that their aspects change over time and according to conditions, you can't attain universality. Each doctrine is a nucleus, a seed of life that can fulfil its purpose only when it finds the soil, air, and water necessary for its germination and growth. If people who can apply the logic and approach of the great Hanafi jurisprudents to the present time and conditions have not appeared, and if society closes itself to this option (unlike the Ottomans) were, we can go nowhere.
