How does the Gülen Movement respect differences between people?

The Gülen Movement’s established practice and appeal prevent it from identifying itself with or as a specific political individual or actor. By acknowledging everyone as they are, and by giving everyone the chance to be different and respected, the collective actor of the Gülen Movement cancels out its own separateness. Through its inclusive and integrative action, the Gülen Movement proposes being for others while being itself. By contrast, a political actor proves its separateness, restrictedness or exclusivity and guarantees itself first. The political actor first guarantees being for itself, mostly in a contentious way, while being different, visible and separate from others.
