How is the curriculum of these schools decided?

Fethullah Gülen

The schools have been operating according to the rules of the curriculum of respective countries. To the extent that the native country’s laws permit, the curriculum of the Anadolu Lisesi of the Ministry of National Education is being implemented, with a mutual agreement. In the “International Schools,” in addition to the local curriculum, the curriculum determined by the chain of schools or the network, to which that particular school belongs, is implemented [e.g. ECIS].

The books, which got the approval from the related departments of the Ministry of National Education in Turkey, are being studied. These are the things to facilitate the demonstration of our own values. Other than this, there are no special curricula, determined by the schools themselves. There is this much that, in order to better the quality, some schools, of course, obtaining the permission of the National Education departments might increase the number of hours of certain courses.
