The following propaganda is being disseminated: Those writing books about Fethullah Gülen are having investigations launched against them, their authors are being taken into custody, they are being imprisoned. True or false? False! Because there have been others who have been lifetime Gülen enemies writing books to this end and nothing has happened, nor is happening, to them. Take for instance, Hikmet Çetinkaya, who writes for Cumhuriyet. Çetinkaya wrote hundreds of pieces, dozens of books. Gülen's lawyers filed suits, nothing more. For instance Saygi Öztürk. His latest book, one against Gülen, was just recently published. He appeared on a Samanyolu Television program. Go to any bookstore and you will see books written against Gülen.
The important thing is this: Whether or not organizations, while writing books about Gülen (or about any other public figure), under the command of influential agents, disseminate black propaganda. Certainly, books that were dictated by shady centers to realize a sinister purpose comprise an organized crime. Because it involves damaging the reputation of an individual, as well as making some people look as if they are guilty and conducting dark smear campaigns for the purpose of having them convicted as members of a criminal organization. If this is not a crime, then nothing is. If being a partner in this crime is journalism, then woe to such an understanding of journalism!
