Jumping From One Subject to Another
A series of issues, each a subject of an article, are occupying my mind. Let them be materials for those who cannot find anything to write about.
Human beings are rendered as the Caliph of Allah on the earth. How can someone, who cannot act as his own Caliph properly, want to become the caliph of his prophet? I do not know. There is an organization based in Jordan. It thinks that the Caliphate was abolished by Turkish people on March 3. What was abolished on March 3 was a corpse. Those who lived in 1916 and witnessed the Medina siege and saw the Gaza front know who the murderer is.
This should not be noted as a turning point in the history of the nation. November 3 was the turning point. Now October 3 is a turning point. This nation should not spin and stop. It is necessary to know that after October 3, wherever we are going, there's no turning back, no matter what happens. Let them explain the Ankara Criteria that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan talked about now! Let them announce the Five-Year Democratization Plan so that we know where we are going, with or without Europe!
We don't need a "Counter-Terrorism Act" but a "Counter-Terrorism Determination." The legislative power does not set the boundaries for the executive power, but its main route. It does not necessitate a law to initiate an education campaign preventing youths from going up the mountains; no law is needed to eliminate the economic isolation of the East; no law is needed to open our arms to the people. The determination to punish terrorists and counter-terrorism determination are completely different things. Let's not mention the determination to punish anyone you don't like under the pretext of terror.
Whenever Fethullah Gülen speaks, something trembles deep inside my heart. Again, he speaks in pain arousing grief. Again the pain turns into words and prunes the branches of the truth plane. My heart trembles: Will this man be alone again? Is it so difficult for the theologians, society leaders and politicians to say yes? Should every truth be uttered by them first? You kept saying things about yesterday, now, there is someone saying something new, now is the time to participate in the chorus
At one time, the liberal discourse was struggling against the use of the imperialist jargon. It was a reactive but a sincere attitude. Nowadays, even the compromisers seem to have adopted the conflicting jargon: It is sincere but not even reactive. With a submissive attitude, they adopted September 11 as the turning point. They undertook the responsibility at the beginning with articles written in an apologizing manner. Ready to do what terrorists ask them to do by sustaining fear. We do not adopt the al-Qaeda sauce jargon, including the terms of September 11 -- suicide, conflict, jihad. We have many non-uttered expressions of love, compassion and affection. We want to talk with them.
