Congo Holds Conference on Gülen
Prominent figures of politics and academia in Congo's Kinshasa gathered together to attend a conference titled "The Practice of Fethullah Gülen Movement in Islam and Dialogue through Gülen Thoughts."
The Congolese capital of Kinshasa played host to a dialog conference where intercultural and interfaith dialogues were underlined and messages of peace and tolerance were given.
NEVZAT SAVAS said: "We have to develop a culture of coexistence in a time when the wars and conflicts affect us globally and people cannot tolerate differences. And the importance of Fethullah Gülen comes out at this point."
At the conference organized by the Congolaise Aube Speakers who referred to Gülen's thoughts concerning interfaith and intercultural dialogues underlined the importance of the Gülen Movement in terms of peace and tolerance.
RAMAZANI KINSHASA, Vice Chair of Math and Computer Department said: "Political society, academics and artists discovered a new face of Islam, which is a message of tolerance, peace and love. The message of Fethullah Gülen is the only way out for humanity which has a great responsibility like coexistence."
IMAM ABDALLAH MANGALA, the Chair of Congolese Islamic Society said: "Before Tuks have arrived here there used to be an understanding such that terror is equal to Islam. Turks who came to Congo opened new horizons for us through a principle take for granted. Now Islam is a high value again in Congo. Now we're proud of our faith as being Muslims thanks to Turks. That's why not only Congo but also the entire African continent needs Fethulah Gülen."
