"This Ugly Attack cannot be Reconciled neither with Religion nor Humanity"
In the U.S. for medical treatment, Fethullah Gülen has expressed a message of condolence about the explosions and the lives they took at two Istanbul synagogues.
In the message condemning the terror attacks, Gülen voiced the following:
"Today's explosions, in which more than 20 people lost their lives and more than 150 people were injured, is one of the ugliest attacks against the stability of our country.
"In this month of holy Ramadan where unity and togetherness reach the highest levels, by targeting innocent people the terrorist attacks have deeply hurt our nation.
"Terror under any circumstances cannot be a means for a fight. Regardless of their reasons, the ones using this illegal way are counted among those who commit the greatest crimes against humanity.
"No matter which person or which group is responsible, this ugly incident cannot be reconciled neither with religion nor humanity.
"The fact that these loathsome attacks took place during a time when our people connect to each other with a common consciousness and a time when our country takes further steps towards stability has meaning.
"Dark-minded people, who do not want a strong and democratic Turkey, and who are after a foggy atmosphere by running after extraordinary circumstances, have tried to ruin our stability and future on purpose.
"Our nation, with unity and integrity, will easily overcome with dark spirits. I share the pain and sorrow of the Muslim and Jewish citizens who faced the terror, whether they were praying at the synagogue or just in the explosion area, and condemn one more time the attackers.
"I wish the injured to get well soon, to those who died the mercy of Allah, and to their close ones patience."
