Turkish Olympiad Contests Ends with Spectacular Ceremony
The award ceremony of International Turkish Language Olympics, ended in Turkey’s capital city of Ankara with colorful performances by participants on Saturday.
The Olympiads, organized by the International Turkish Education Association (TURKCEDER), was ended with a spectacular ceremony. The award ceremony took place at the ASKI sports center in Turkish capital. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and seven ministers from his cabinet attended the ceremony in Ankara. Over 700 students from 115 countries including Afghanistan, Argentina, Venezuela, Benin, Ethiopia, Congo, France, Italy, Uganda, the Maldives and Sri Lanka from 115 countries including Afghanistan, Argentina, Venezuela, Benin, Ethiopia, Congo, France, Italy, Uganda, the Maldives and Sri Lanka participated at the 7th International Turkish Olympiads. The speaking, writing, grammar, poetry, singing, presentation and specific ability contests were organized under the category of Turkish as a Foreign Language, and essay writing, poetry and general knowledge contests were be held under the category of Turkish as Native Language.
