Turkish School in Kiev Celebrates Eid-al-Adha
The International Meridian School established by Turkish entrepreneurs in the capital of Kiev in Ukraine organized an activity for Eid Al Adha. The school put smiles on the faces of the needy in Kiev through the sacrificial meat that they delivered.
An organized evening celebration for the Eid highlighted students performing folkloric dances and stand-up shows.
Ahmet Changa, the Culture Undersecretary of the Turkish Embassy in Kiev, the Turkiye-Ukraine Businessmen's Association board members, and many Turkish citizens who live in Kiev attended the event.
The school remembered the poor families in Ukraine and volunteers took the time to deliver sacrificial meat packs to the needy at their homes.
One of the people who received the a package was Yagmina Sanovna Profirova who had cardiac surgery two times.
Olena Ivanivna who was touched by the aid criticized the officials in her country said: "I called the institution in charge of pensioners to ask for help. They offered a free subscription of a newspaper. Will I eat newspaper? I wanted an aid pack from them but they did not give anything. I have to live on a very limited pension. I'm grateful for your help."
Valentina Petrovna, the chief of the Humanitarian Aids Department of Padol Municipality in Kiev thanked the school executives for organizing the event.
