World's Youth Search for Environmental Solutions
Traditionally organized by Fatih College, the International Environmental Project Olympics (INEPO) will be organized for the 15th time this year.
The organization, with Bank Asya as a main sponsor and led by INEPO Environment Association, is supported by the Education Ministry, Environment and Forestry Ministry, İstanbul Municipality, Fatih University and Fatih College.
This year's INEPO will host 250 students from 35 countries, aged between 13 and 19, who will be competing with their projects regarding environmental problems. Fatih University Hadimköy Campus will exhibit 92 projects to compete at INEPO. These projects were chosen as the best in their countries.
The program also includes Environment-Press Awards for the 2007 ceremony. Environmental broadcasting organizations and publications competing with the news published for the past year would receive the Environment Special Award at this press award ceremony. Interesting works such as "And now the trees have cancer too" "Electricity produced from mud," "Found guilty: the Sun" and "Don't play hard-rock music to your flowers" will be among the projects that will compete at INEPO starting tomorrow, Monday June 11. INEPO's exhibition and jury assessment will take place on June 11-13 at Fatih University Hadimköy Campus. The INEPO and the Environment-Press Award Ceremonies will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13 at Firat Culture Center.
