Suffering, Suffering, Suffering

Let's start with a prayer that is considered to be the maxim of those who believe: İnananların şiarı (Müslümanlık alameti/nişanı) sayılan dua ile başlayalım:
'O my Lord, forgive me and have mercy on me (always treat me with Your forgiveness and mercy), for You are the Best of the merciful' (Al-Muminun, 23:118). "Rabbim, yarlığa bizi, merhamet buyur; buyur ki, merhamet edenlerin en hayırlısı Sensin, Sen" (Mü'minûn, 23:118).
'We only seek help from Him' "Ancak Ondan yardım dileriz."
Blessings that make one forget God are calamities appearing to be blessings. Allah'ı unutturan nimet, nimet görünümlü bir nıkmettir (azaptır, cezadır), bir belâdır.
Even if it means sovereignty and rule in this world, if it makes one forget God then every second of that reign, one will be a journey towards Hell, may God forbid! Dünya saltanatı bile olsa, Allah'ı unutturduğu dakikalar, saatler adedince -hafizanallah- insanın başından aşağıya bela ve musibetler yağıyor demektir; o adım adım Cehennem'e doğru yürüyor demektir.
If power in this world makes one forget about Him, for a moment or even for one hour.
Today people fail to see what actually a blessing is and what a calamity is. Ama gel gör ki günümüzde insanlar, neyin "nimet", neyin "nıkmet" olduğunun farkında değiller, bilemiyorlar.
This world blocks the perception of such people; why do they experience something like a lunar eclipse that prevents them from seeing God?
They are in the dark but they are unaware of this darkness. Kapkaranlık bir gece içindeler fakat farkında değiller.
They walk with their back turned to the sun and follow their shadow and utter 'This world, this world, this world'. Sırtları güneşe dönük yürüyorlar, gölgelerine takılmış olarak, "Dünya, dünya, dünya" diye.
Their rhythm and lyrics are only about this world. It is the only thing they desire; sovereignty, luxury, appreciation and applause. Always saying, 'Me'. Bestesi dünya, güftesi dünya; hep dünya mırıldanıp duruyorlar; saltanat, debdebe, takdir, alkış, "Ben" deme.
May God protect you from being dragged into darkness like this. Cenâb-ı Hak, sizi böyle bir zift akıntısına sürüklenmekten muhafaza buyursun.
He protected you to a certain extent to this day, may He continue His protection. Bugüne kadar belli ölçüde muhafaza buyurdu; o buyurmalarını devam ettirsin.
This is an expression of my good will for the people of the right path and who prostrate for God and glorify Him.
Lots of negative assumption can cause a person to fall flat onto their faces. O kadar suizan, insanı tepetaklak götürür.
If I see everyone else walking on this path with difficulty as I am, it means that I am buried in a pit of bad assumption.
I must try to have a good assumption about others, as much as I can Onlar hakkında elimden geldiğince hep hüsnüzan etmeliyim.
However, every facet of society is drowning in such evils; it is not possible for the radioactive effects to not influence even the cleanest homes and purest souls.
The gamma rays will leave a mark on one, even if they do not realise. En azından radyoaktif tesiri, gama tesiri onlar üzerinde de belli izler bırakır farkına varmadan.
This is what will happen, in the least: En azından şu olur:
They will not be able to comprehend the degree of evil that exists there. Yapılan o mesâvînin mesâvî derinliğini göremezler.
Crimes upon crimes of great magnitude are being committed; tyranny is present, persecution that even unbelievers would not engage in is occurring, Muslims and innocent people's groans are being echoed across the heavens because of these tyrants and the nations are groaning in the face of various disasters and calamities. İç içe cinayetler, müzâaf, hatta mük'ab cinayetler işleniyordur, zulümler irtikâp ediliyordur, kafirin yapmadığı şeyler yapılıyordur; Müslüman iniltileri ile, mazlum iniltileri ile fezâ inliyordur, zâlim hay-huyu ile fezâ inliyordur, ülke değişik belâ ve musibetler ile inliyordur.
Without realising, seeing these events as normal and natural things, one could easily slip into such a partial blindness, God forbid. Hiç farkına varmadan bunları ahvâl-ı âdiye, ahvâl-ı tabiiye görme gibi -esasen, farkına varmadan- tebeî bir körlüğü herkes yaşayabilir, hafizanallah.
In this respect, everyone should look at themselves from this perspective. Bu açıdan, herkesin kendine bakarken belki böyle bakması lazımdır.
Let me mention something else as an aside. Burada antrparantez bir şey diyeyim:
If we are not allocating one, two or three hours in humble devotion and supplication to God in the face of such catastrophes and terrible events that are being experienced today, so that these disasters and calamities disappear, this means that, without even realising, we have been impacted by this negativities radioactive effect.
Indeed, there is a raging fire. Evet, bir tarafta, karşıda yangın.
In the words of the Honourable Sage Bediüzzaman, 'The flames are rising to the heavens; my child is burning, my faith is burning.' Hazreti Pîr'in ifadesiyle, "İçinde evladım/imanım tutuşmuş yanıyor."
If we don't grab a pump and rush to put out the fire and to save the people burning in the fire, if we don't take necessary safety measures to save people from cyclones, if our heart and pulses don't beat towards that goal, we will be judged accordingly on the day of judgement and be told 'This is how little you are worth', may God forbid!
Essentially, if we can't measure the extent of the calamities that occur, our sadness and agony should also be equally extensive.
Facing agony due to these calamities is a very crucial factor in God's answering our prayers.
Sometimes, the prayer of a helpless person causes the clouds of depression to disappear. Bir muzdaribin duası, bazen bütün kasvet bulutlarının sıyrılıp gitmesine vesile olur.
'Or He who answers the helpless one in distress when he prays to Him, and removes the affliction from him, and (Who) has made you (O humankind) vicegerents of the earth (to improve it and rule over it according to God's commandments)?' (An-Naml, 27:62). Muzdarip ve muztarr. "(Ona ortak koştukları şeyler mi üstün) yoksa muztar dua ettiği zaman, onun duasına icabet eden, başındaki sıkıntıyı gideren Allah mı?" (Neml, 27:62)
When a forced person pleads to God, who besides God can get rid of those calamities and unveil new blessings?
This depends on turning to God. Bu, O'na yönelmeye bağlı.
Humanity is suffering and crying in misery and shame. İnsanlık, sefalet ve rezalet içinde inim inim inliyor.
Such horrors and calamities are taking place in the world, especially in particular places, and in your home. Bütün dünyada, hususan bazı yerlerde, bahusus sizin ülkenizde öyle fecâyi' ve fezâyi' yaşanıyor ki.
At the same time, those in power call this 'justice.' They call it 'a right,' 'direction.' They say, 'Everything is following its trajectory.' Aynı zamanda ona "adalet" diyorlar, "hak" diyorlar, "istikamet" diyorlar, "Her şey yörüngesinde yürüyor" diyorlar.
As a result, a certain number of blind, heedless people believe these claims and feel no remorse. They do not appeal to God. They do not/cannot pour out their heart to God, for they have also been poisoned by the apparent scene. Dolayısıyla bir kısım şuursuz, muhakemesiz insanlar da buna inanıyor ve üzüntü duymuyorlar, Allah'a teveccüh etmiyorlar, içlerini Allah'a dökmüyorlar/dökemiyorlar; çünkü onlar da -bir yönüyle- genel tablodan zehirlenmiş bulunuyorlar.
I will mention something aside from the main topic here: Burada yine antrparantez bir şey diyeyim:
Thousands of thanks to Almighty God for protecting you all from that filthy current, that stream of tar. You are living your lives with consciousness of your difference.
That is, you say, 'All praise be to God that we are not like that. Yani "Elhamdülillah öyle değiliz.
We are not of the oppressors. Zulmedenlerden değiliz.
We are not of those mute minions whom watch and say nothing. Zulmü görüp ses çıkarmayan dilsiz şeytanlardan değiliz.
We are not of those devils that do not raise their voices. Sesini yükseltmeyen şeytanlardan değiliz.
We are not of those minions who do not protest.' Thus I believe you are in a position to show gratitude to God. İtiraz etmeyen şeytanlardan değiliz" diye, hâlihazırdaki konumunuz itibarıyla Allah'a hamd etme durumundasınız, zannediyorum.
Whether you are aware of this or not, this is your place. Bunun farkındasınız veya değilsiniz ama konumunuz bu.
This is the place God has assigned to you. Allah'ın konumlandırdığı durumunuz bu.
This is the situation that the Almighty God communicated to and prepared for you.
May the Almighty One develop and improve this. Cenâb-ı Hak, bunu geliştirsin, inkişaf ettirsin.
With the words of Mehmet Akif: Mehmet Akif'in sözü:
'It is our chastity being trodden over, our honour being shred. "Irzımızdır çiğnenen, namusumuzdur doğranan
O one who does not feel anguish, at least shy away from smiling!' Ey sıkılmaz, ağlamazsın; bari gülmekten utan."
Yes. Evet.
  "Irzımızdır çiğnenen, namusumuzdur doğranan
O one who does not feel anguish, at least shy away from smiling!' Ey sıkılmaz, ağlamazsın; bari gülmekten utan."
If you still cannot see the curling back of your lips as disrespect to God and a mocking of those people going through pain, which is all that you have been granted. dudakların geriye gitmesini, Allah'a karşı bir saygısızlık olarak göremiyor ve ızdırap çeken insanlara karşı bir alay mahiyetinde kabul edemiyorsan hâlâ, nasibin o kadar demektir senin.
That is all that is bestowed upon you. O kadar nasip.
May God allow us to hear and announce matters appropriate for the nature of His Essence. Cenâb-ı Hak, olup-bitenleri, mahiyet-i nefsü'l-emriyesine uygun duymaya/duyurmaya muvaffak eylesin.
I am also in grief from these events.
Yes, I never lost hope; my trust in my Lord was not shaken. Evet, ümidimi hiç yitirmedim, recâ duygumda hiç kayıp yaşamadım; Rabbime karşı ümidimde bir sarsıntıya maruz kalmadım.
But I should confess this; my body, my immune system failed, I groaned for twenty four hours with twenty illnesses.
My immune system said, 'I give up'; every moment, every minute, it said, 'I am no longer powerful enough to endure horrors and calamities, viruses and germs that trouble the body'.
Only ten minutes prior, I was walking around in my room with clogs on my feet to get my circulation going; I was saying, 'Perhaps I cannot go to the Prayer; I cannot appear before my brothers in this state'. İşte on dakika evvel de ayağıma refleksoloji ile alakalı takunyaları takmış, odanın içinde dolaşıyordum; "Gidemem galiba, namaza gidemem; bu arkadaşların huzuruna çıkamam" diyordum.
But I persevered despite everything. Fakat dişimi sıktım, her şeye rağmen.
This world is the hallway to reach the happiness in the Hereafter; rather, since the Hereafter is above us, it is more like a spiral staircase or path.
Regardless of how far away and lowly the earth is, it is a means of raising humans to those higher positions.
It is where the Divine Names are manifested; a place where Almighty God is and should be known.
This world is such a place. Bu dünya, öyle bir yerdir.
Those who get stuck here, they are essentially darkening their eternal life by neglecting seeing it as a means; they will be subjected to an endless eclipse in the Hereafter. Buraya takılıp kalanlar, esasen, onun bir vesile/vasıta oluşunu ihmal ettiklerinden dolayı, öbür tarafı tamamen karartmış olurlar; âhirette kendilerine sonu gelmeyen bir küsûf yaşatmış olurlar.
If the person is occupied only with their own problems here, Şimdi burada insan, kendi dertleri ile meşgul ise.
Just a few moments ago, it was incorrect for me to mention my own problems, it can be considered as being in complaint to Him. Biraz evvel min vechin tahammülü aştığından dolayı arz ettim; söylemek doğru değil, O'na karşı şikâyet olur.
However, Prophet Jacob, peace be upon him, has said: 'I only convey of all my anguish and my sorrow unto God' (Yusuf, 12:96). Fakat "Hazreti Yakup, 'Ben, bütün dertlerimi, keder ve hüznümü Allah'a arz ediyor, O'na şikâyette bulunuyorum' dedi" (Yûsuf, 12:96).
Just as that great Prophet has said, 'I am relaying my tribulations to You my Lord,' I hope mine will be accepted as thus.
However, a believer's position is not to suffer anguish only for their own problems. Ama mü'minin işi, sadece böyle kendi ızdırapları karşısında inlemesi değildir.
In face of all of these, 'So (the proper recourse for me is), a becoming patience (a patience that endures without complaint). İnsanın, "Artık bana/bize düşen, güzelce sabretmektir.
And to say: God it is Whose help is sought against (the situation) that you have described' (Yusuf, 12:18), and to be active in 'beautiful patience'.
And to say: 'I only disclose my anguish and sorrow to God, and I know from God what you do not know' (Yusuf, 12:86), as if to portray his tribulations to God. "Ben, bütün dertlerimi, keder ve hüznümü Allah'a arz ediyor, O'na şikâyette bulunuyorum" diyerek halini Allah'a arz etmesi.
'And (mention) Job (among those whom We made leaders): "Bu arada, önderler içinde Eyyûb'u da an, hatırla.
He called out to his Lord, saying: "Truly, affliction has visited me (so that I can no longer worship You as I must); Hani O, 'Rabbim, bu dert bana iyice dokundu (ve Sana gerektiği gibi ibadet edemez hale geldim).
And he cried 'You are the All-Merciful' (Al-Anbiya, 21:83) as if to say, 'I am hurt' or 'My Lord.' Sen, Merhametlilerin En Merhametlisisin' diye yalvarmıştı" (Enbiyâ, 21:83) buyurulduğu gibi, "Bana zarar dokundu" deyip inlemesi veya "Ya Rabbî.
'You are God, and there is no deity but You.' Sensin İlâh, Senden başka yoktur ilâh.
All-Glorified You are (in that You are absolutely above having any defect). Sübhânsın, bütün noksanlardan münezzehsin, Yücesin.
'Surely, I have been one of the wrongdoers (who have wronged themselves)' Doğrusu kendime zulmettim, yazık ettim.
To pray as Prophet Jonah, peace be upon him, did: 'I await your forgiveness, my Lord' (Al-Anbiya, 21:87). Affını bekliyorum Rabbim" (Enbiyâ, 21:87) şeklindeki, Hazreti Yunus İbn Mettâ'nın niyazıyla dua etmesi.
One should be in a state of constant recitation of the above when they face of certain situations. Bir insanın, kendi başına gelen şeyler karşısında bunları vird-i zebân etmesi.
God forbid, I was about to use the world, to 'mumble', but I thought it would be disrespectful, I needed to stop.
It is a beautiful thing to recite and remember constantly, to make this a common practice of one's tongue; it means one has adopted a certain stance towards God. Bunları vird-i zebân etmesi, diline dolaması mevzuu, şahsı adına güzel şeylerdir; Allah'a karşı arz-ı halde bulunma demektir.
There is also the matter of knowing what is going on around you; in consideration of we mentioned earlier, there is a fire in which faith is burning.
Mothers and children have been separated. Anne-evlat, birbirinden koparılmış.
Husbands and wives also separated. Karı-koca, birbirinden koparılmış.
Some have fled overseas, to console themselves they call themselves, 'migrants'. Kimisi soluğu yurt dışında almış; teselli için kendilerine "Muhacir" diyorlar.
I hope to God they are migrants, may God allow them to meet others in those places with God fearing dispositions.
May they forget the violence and hatred they faced in their own country, once meeting these new people. Kendi ülkelerinde yedikleri tokat ve zılgıtları, karşılaştıkları insanlar sayesinde unuturlar, inşâallahu teâlâ.
In the face of such afflictions, there are people in grief and agony.
The Pride of Humanity, peace and blessings be upon him, in response to the tests that have afflicted certain people says, 'A Muslim that doesn't feel for the suffering of other Muslims, that doesn't share their troubles, and doesn't experience it deeply within their conscience, is not of them.'
That is, 'not a proper Muslim'. Yani, "Hakiki manada Müslüman değildir" diyor.
They should experience that affliction within themselves; while face to face with a fire, they should feel the pain of the person caught within those flames. O ızdırabı, insanın, içinde duyması lazım; bir yangın karşısında, yanan insanın ızdırabını içinde duyması lazım.
This has become part of the foundation of your philosophy. Sizin temel felsefeniz içine girmiş; kim tarafından sokulursa sokulsun:
We have a very selfish national idiom: 'Fire burns where it falls'. Bencilce ifade edilmiş bir laf vardır milletimizde; "Yangın, nereye düşerse, orayı yakar."
But our philosophy is 'No matter where a fire falls, I will burn as well'. Bizim felsefemize göre, "Yangın, nereye düşerse düşsün, beni yakar."
This is our philosophy. Felsefemiz budur.
The fire in Myanmar burns me too. Myanmar'a düşen yangın, beni yakar.
The fire in Damascus burns me too. Şam'a düşen yangın, beni yakar.
Yes, those who don't share others' problems and who don't say, 'It is my problem too' or 'This fire burns me too' cannot be evaluated in the same category. Evet, Müslümanların dertlerini paylaşmayan, "Benim derdimdir" demeyen, "Bu yangın, beni de yakıyor, onlarla beraber" demeyen insan, o kategoride mütalaa edilmez.
They will not be treated in a similar way in the Hereafter and they will not receive the same Divine gifts. Öbür tarafta da onlarla beraber o güzelim muameleye tâbi tutulmaz; onlara verilecek o vâridata mazhar olamaz.
May God protect us from it, they will witness; 'You! Separate from the crowd and stay here, you don't go to the scale, you have nothing to weigh.' Hafizanallah, "Hele siz ayrılın şöyle, şurada durun; kantara/teraziye girecek durumunuz yok sizin, tartılacak durumunuz yok" denilir.
Though, everyone should consider themselves in this manner, from the perspective of fear. Gerçi herkes, belki kendisine öyle bakmalı, havf zaviyesinden.
Someone said: Biri öyle demiş:
'If the All-Merciful (One Who Calls Into Account) judges me with these sins, "Ger beni bu günahlarla tartarsa Hazreti Rahmân (Deyyân)
The scale of the Divine Throne would break'. Kırılır arsa-i mahşerde arş-ı mizan."
I say, 'The One Who Calls Into Account' but the original quote says, 'The All-Merciful'. "Deyyân", Fakir'e ait; o, "Rahmân" diyor.
'If the One Who Calls Into Account judges me with these sins, "Ger beni bu günahlarla tartarsa Hazreti Deyyân
  Kırılır arsa-i mahşerde arş-ı mizan."
The scale would break if God judges me based on my sins.
May God protect us, some people will not even be judged, instead they will be subject to 'These people ruined their lives; they even spent their Intermediate Realm in misery.' Hafizanallah, tartıya bile tâbî tutulmadan, haklarında "Lüzum yok bunlara; hayatlarını kirletmişler ve Berzah hayatını da kirli geçirmişlerdi.
Some will be declared as 'They need to go to the other side to be purified'.
All these people will fall into these pits, may God protect us. Onların hepsi, hafizanallah, tepetaklak o gayyâlara yuvarlanacaklar.
In order to not fall into this position, we need to see the challenges that those who are facing oppression and suffering as a process of purification.
But at the same time, by sharing their pain, we are also getting an opportunity to be cleansed of our sins and deficiencies. And we should believe it to be so.
We are also being purified of our spiritual ailments. Biz de onunla arınıyoruz.
As I mentioned earlier, our immune system has crashed, it will not be lost for no reason. Biraz evvel dedim; immün sistemi çökmüş, onun bedava gideceğini düşünemem ben.
God will place it somewhere. Cenâb-ı Hak, onu bir yere koyacaktır.
Every day, I remember those people, the ones I know by name, I utter their names, and pray for all of them, 'My God, save them at once, give them their freedom'. Ben her gün aklımda o insanları sayıyorum; isimlerini bildiğim arkadaşları ismen zikredip, "Allah'ım, onları bir anda kurtuluşa erdir; onları hürriyetlerine kavuştur."
'Save them with such a surprising blessing as you allude to in "I have prepared for My pious servants such surprising blessings that no eye has ever seen, and no ear has ever heard, and no human mind has ever conceived"'.
'My God, surprise them with a swift rescue'. Sürpriz olarak Allah'ım, salıver onları.
Let such and such go free. Ali'yi salıver, Veli'yi salıver, falanı salıver.
Some of them I know by their standing in society. Hayat-ı içtimâiyedeki konumları itibarıyla tanıdığım insanlar.
They lived honourable lives, upright, respectable lives. But now, they are treated like the lowliest of people, or even worse than them. Onurlu yaşamış, iffetli yaşamış, izzetli yaşamış; fakat orada kapıkulu gibi, halayık gibi, belki onların bile maruz kalmayacakları şeylere maruz kalmış insanlar.
The ones I know by name, I mention in my prayers by name. İsimlerini bildiklerimi ismen anıyorum.
As for those I do not know by name, I say, 'You are aware of them my Lord. You know all of their names, You know each and every one of them. Save them. Free them'.
'Surprise them with freedom'. Sürpriz olarak onları salıver.
'Let them go, and alleviate this turmoil in my mind'. Salıver ve benim şu hafakanlarımı da dindir.
'I can no longer bear it, ease my pain'. Artık taşıyamıyorum; bu hafakanlarımı da dindir.
The tyrant can't have enough suffering; the traitor cannot have enough betrayal. Zâlim, zulme doymuyor; hâin, hıyanete doymuyor.
To stay silent in the face of this, to turn a blind eye is a huge loss for humanity. Bunun karşısında sessiz kalma, alakasız kalma, insanlık adına ciddî kayıp sayılır.
That is what the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, expresses. Allah Rasûlü'nün (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) -Kurban olayım.- ifade buyurduğu şey, odur zaten.
He even postponed his entrance to Paradise for the sake of the people, so that they do not end up facing such a terrible fate.
As Abdulquddus says: Abdülkuddûs'un ifadesi ile diyeceğim:
In that Year of Despair, following the Boycott, the Prophet's strong supporter, the one who was always there for him both materially and spiritually, Khadija the Great, our blessed mother, passed away. O Hüzün Senesi'nde, yani Boykot'tan sonra, o güne kadar kendisine arka çıkan, sürekli kendisini fikren destekleyen, mânen destekleyen, maddeten destekleyen Hadîce-i Kübrâ, mübarek annemiz, ruhunun ufkuna yürüdü.
Parenthetically; a friend of truth once expressed how relevant our beloved mother is to our service: Antrparantez; o annemizin bu Hizmet ile çok alakalı olduğunu, bir ehl-i hak dostumuz söylemişti:
The Honourable Khadija asked our noble Prophet: Hadîce validemiz, Efendimiz'e soruyor:
'O Messenger of God. "Yâ Rasûlallah.
How do you see them?' He replies, 'I am very pleased with them'. Nasıl görüyorsun bunları?" "Ben, onlardan çok memnunum" diyor.
Sometimes our beloved mother acted as an intermediary, facilitating, translating figure. Arada anamız vasıtalık, vesilelik, tercümanlık yapıyor.
I consider it to be a great disloyalty to her if I do not mention her in my salutations and blessings upon God's Messenger and his Pure Wives. Ben, salât ü selâmlarımda, Ezvâc-ı Tâhirât'ı anarken onu anmamayı ona karşı vefasızlık sayıyorum.
May I be sacrificed for you, O Great Khadija! Hadîce-i Kübrâ, kurban olayım sana.
May God bless me with the honour of putting my head beneath your feet. Allah nasip etse de kirli başımı senin ayaklarının altına koysam.
My mother. Anam.
Comfort and being free of any troubles is like a plague that has spread across humanity.
It will eventually eat away at man. İnsanı er-geç yer, bitirir.
Yes, she walked to the spirit of his horizon, to the other realm. Evet, o, ruhunun ufkuna yürüyor.
Our Prophet also loses Abu Talib, the one who never completely believed in him, but respected him.
This year is known to be the 'Year of Despair'. O seneye "Hüzün Senesi", tasa senesi deniyor.
And God, may He be glorified and exalted, says, 'My Beloved! Ve Allah (celle celâluhu), "Habibim.
You're very upset. Sen çok üzgünsün.
Look, I will make you forget that sorrow through different favours'; God Almighty honours the noble Prophet with His presence. Bak, o üzgünlüğü sana unutturacak, değişik iltifatlarda bulunacağım" diyor; O'nu (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) Kendi (celle celâluhu) Huzur-i Kibriyâsı ile şereflendiriyor.
He takes him into His presence whereby the noble Prophet passes by each station of each Prophet, meeting each and every single one of them, meeting with the residents of the Heavens, in the words of Qadi Ayyad, honours him with His perfect beauty in His presence. Bütün peygamberlerin makamlarından geçirerek, onlar ile görüştürerek, Mele-i A'lâ'nın sâkinleri ile buluşturarak Huzur-i Kibriyâsına alıyor, cemâl-i bâ-kemali ile -Kadı Iyâz'ın beyanına göre- şereflendiriyor.
He speaks with the Prophet directly; he entrusts the community of Muhammad with the Prayer. Kendisi ile bizzat konuşuyor; namazı Ümmet-i Muhammed'e iletmek üzere O'na emanet ediyor:
He says, 'Pass on this trust to them.' "Bu emaneti, Sen de onlara intikal ettir" diyor.
The Honourable Messiah travelled there, stayed there. Hazreti Mesih, oraya gitti ise, kaldı orada.
Other Prophets also passed away and stayed there. Başka peygamberler de ruhlarının ufkuna yürüdü, kaldılar orada.
But yours, mine, the Master of the World, the Master of the Prophets, the Master of Masters, reached that unreachable level during the Ascension. Fakat senin, benim, cihanın efendisi, hatta peygamberlerin de efendisi, Efendiler Efendisi, Miraç'ta ulaşılmayacak şeylere ulaştı.
And witnessed the Beauty and Perfection of Almighty God which is incomparable to thousands of years in Paradise. Cennet'in binlerce sene hayatı, bir dakika rü'yet-i cemâline mukabil gelmeyen Cenâb-ı Hakk'ın cemâl-i bâ-kemâlini müşahede ufkuna ulaştı.
He reached the realm of the horizons of God's good pleasure. Rıza ufkuna ulaştı.
He reached the realm of the Courtship of the Almighty. İltifâtât-ı İlahiye ufkuna ulaştı.
But he turned around, and returned. Ama geriye döndü.
He thought about humanity, saying, 'I must return back to earth' and returned. İnsanlığı düşündü, "Benim dünyaya dönmem lazım" dedi ve döndü.
In the Meccan era, in the eighth year of Prophethood... Mekke dönemi, Bi'set-i Seniyye'nin sekizinci senesi.
While there are people being laid onto the sands and hot stones being placed on them... Hâlâ çölde bazı kimseler sırt üstü yatırılıyor, üzerlerine taşlar konuyor.
Some are being crucified; others being murdered there. Bazıları çarmıha geriliyor; bazıları öldürülüyor orada.
When he sees these, his heart burns. O bunları gördükçe, yüreği yanıyor.
He returns; to help people reach the level he reached, saying, 'Whatever it takes, I must return for them' and returns. Fakat dönüyor; insanları, ulaştığı ufka ulaştırmak için, "Ne olursa olsun katlanma pahasına, onların içine dönmem lazım" diyor ve dönüyor.
Abdulquddus, the great saint, says: İşte, büyük veli Abdülkuddûs diyor ki:
'I swear to God that if I could attain the station God bestowed upon Prophet Muhammad, I would certainly not return from there.' "Hazreti Muhammed öyle makamlara yükseldi ki, Allah'a yemin ederim, ben oraya ulaşsaydım, vallahi, billahi, tallahi, geriye dönmezdim."
So, compare your Prophet's broad horizon to that of others. Al, senin Efendinin (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) ufkunu ve başkalarının ufkunu, mukayese yap.
To live for others. Başkaları için yaşama.
In essence, the spirit of devotion is to live to let others live. Adanmışlık ruhu ile, esas, yaşatmak için yaşama.
Do you have any other motives?
Do you have any motives other than living to let others live? Yaşatma duygusundan başka bir düşünceniz var mıydı?
Do you have any deliberations outside of the spirit of devotion? Adanmışlık ruhundan başka bir mülahazanız var mıydı?
'Let us reach everywhere, let us hold hands with everyone. "Her yere ulaşalım, herkesin elinden tutalım.
What is true humanity?' 'Gerçek insaniyet nedir?'
Let us show everyone through our actions and manners.
Actions speak louder than words, even if they are of heavenly nature.'
You are walking on this path. Siz, bu yolda yürüyordunuz.
Some people are doing whatever they can to harm your efforts; they are spending fortunes, starting court cases, kidnapping people, usurping, grabbing and sending people to the land of tyranny, forming groups of destroyers, demolishers and bandits. Birileri bu mevzudaki çarkı ve düzeni yıkmak/kırmak için ellerinden gelen her şeyi yapıyor; etek etek paralar döküyor, mahkemeler oluşturuyor; insan kaçıran, gasp eden, paketleyen ve zulüm diyarına onları sevk eden yıkıcılar, tahripkârlar, eşkıya güruhu oluşturuyorlar.
If you do not feel within you the suffering that the innocent souls subjected to the torments of such injustices feel, you are not with them; you are not one of them.
In the Hereafter they will say to you, 'Stand aside! Öbür tarafta "Sen hele şöyle kenarda dur.
They will receive the rewards that they have deserved.' Onlar, göreceklerini görecekler, alacakları mükâfatı alacaklar" denecek.
This is indisputable; no one should have any doubt about it whatsoever.
One should kiss the hand of suffering; one should give distress a kiss on the forehead. Çilenin elini öpmek lazım, ızdırabı alnından öpmek lazım.
Or we should put our heads down under its feet and whine while uttering, 'Suffering, suffering, suffering'.
As Sufyan ibn Uyayna says, 'Sometimes because of the supplication of a helpless one, God may forgive a whole community'.
May God Almighty prosper your hearts with such a consideration equal to the state you have been in so far.
May these considerations be a constant recitation of yours. Vird-i zebânınız olsun bu mülahazalar.
And may He let us succeed in reaching Him with these thoughts.
This will suffice you. Vesselam.
