Moldovan Turkish Schools Help Underprivileged
Students from Moldova-Turkish High Schools, operating for 13 years in Moldova, held a three-day fundraiser for orphaned children and the elderly.
Turgay Serik, General Director of Moldova-Turkish High Schools, said Thursday the school is pleased to see its students involved in such important social work.
Moldavian Education Minister Valentin Kurudu also expressed his satisfaction about their efforts.
Student clubs, teachers and parents from the school set up the three-day festival.
The Moldova-Turkish Schools opened as private schools in 1993 with 50 teachers and 820 students.
