Savas Questioned on Charges of Insulting Gülen
Vural Savas, former Chief Justice of the Court of Appeals, currently writing for the "Aydinlik" (Enlightment) magazine, was questioned by the Chief Public Prosecutor in Ankara on charges of insulting Fethullah Gülen in his work.
The inquiry was first launched by Istanbul Office of Public Prosecution and Press Prosecutor Hamza Ucar in Ankara was authorized to question Savas according to the Turkish Criminal Code's Article 125, which penalizes the crime of "insulting somebody in the media". This crime can result with the sentence of six months to two years imprisonment.
