Turkish Language Olympiad in D.C.
Gülen says that a believer is obligated to vote in a particular direction that they believe in order to let their roots of meaning and spirit be reflected.
Along with competing students and their families, a great number of American and Turkish people living in the area attended the competition to watch it.
Folk dancers took center stage with Turkish folk dances.
The jury and the judges had a difficult time choosing the winners since all the competitors displayed great performances in their categories and got a great deal of appreciation from the audience.
Some of the participants did bring home the gold. Alexandra Mitter was awarded first place in singing category while Hye Yoon Cho got first place in poetry.
The winners of this Olympic challenge will compete in Turkiye with other students from all over the world.
In order to contribute to the relationship among Turkish Americans and their friends, as well as between the people of the United States and the Republic of Turkiye, ATFA will continue to organize and support these cultural activities as Turkish Language Olympics.
