Turkish Language Olympiads Poetry Final
The Poem category final of the Turkish Language Olympiads which kept millions watching was held in western province of Bursa. The performance received a standing ovation by thousands of audience.
The 7th International Turkish Language Olympiads which kicked off in Ankara’s Kizilcahamam town continued in Cultural Park in Bursa province.
12 students out of hundreds were qualified for the final in the poem category and could be seen in the backstage anxious as they waited for their turn to come.
Performers from Tanzania, Ghana, Vietnam, and the United States took the stage to recite their poems touched the hearts of the audience. Amina Magic from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania moved the audience with her poem called Barish or Peace.
This year’s faithfulness reward went to the wife and children of Dr. Omer Turkmen who died in 2004. There was an emotional atmosphere on the stage during the presentation of the reward.
The winner was from Iraq, Ipek Nevzat with the poem "Loved You before Seeing You"...
Natasha Said Ali from Zanzibar, Tanzania was the runner up with the poem "Glorious Cavalry". And Harris Haoual from Madagascar was the third with "To Find".
